Horror is having somewhat of a resurgence. For a genre that is known for it's peaks and troughs, 2017 and 2018 have seen some noticeable highlights of the genre, including Hereditary, Get Out, and the commercially popular It, all proving that horror is not just a genre of gore and jump scares, but worthy of serious praise and serious reward. This month, as well as reviews up on the blog, we'll be putting out an extra podcast each Saturday where we review movies by classic horror directors bridging the gap between the cult and strange to the commercial and franchising. Look forward to reviews of The Thing (John Carpenter), The Serpent and the Rainbow (Wes Craven), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (Tobe Hooper) and Saw (James Wan).

Catch up on previous Halloween Horror's here: 2017, 2016 and 2015.
