OMG Fallout 76 - Richees Thoughts

Well, Bethesda have doled out another Fallout surprise to all their fans. Expecting a possible remaster of Fallout 3 or New Vegas? Nope, instead we get a brand new game, which is apparently a new direction for the series. Rumors are floating around from some pretty reliable sources that Fallout 76 will be a survival game in the vein of Rust or Ark, but in the awesome Fallout universe.

Going from what we saw in the trailer, the game will take place in West Virginia at Vault 76, which is being opened up after twenty years for their reclamation day, I guess to reclaim their former land, in what ever state it is in after the nuclear fallout. So the game is also (fingers crossed) an online multiplayer survival game, so finally me and Layla can take on the wasteland together. I don't know how they're going to integrate the V.A.T.S. system in online play, though.

So I imagine building up a base will be essential, carrying on the building aspect of Fallout 4, hopefully within a brutal radioactive landscape with monsters, with rabid bobcats to the terrifying Yao Guai, to the remnants of humanity who couldn't get into a vault trying to survive by any means necessary. Either way, I'm more excited then ever for E3 this year to see if the rumors are true, but I'll be excited for whatever Bethesda have planned for their next outing.

But what do you think? Are you looking forward to a online survival game in the Fallout wasteland? Let me know in the comments below. Richee
