ARRIVAL - podcast review out now

While much speculative fiction jumps the gun and goes straight towards humans fight with extra-terrestrials, Arrival takes a step back and wonders how we could even attempt to communicate with them in the first place. Starring Amy Adams and Louise Banks, a renowned linguist hired by the US military to decipher the aliens speech, Arrival takes us on a more cerebral journey towards understanding each other. Co-starring Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker, and featuring a stunning soundtrack by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Denis Villeneuve's adaption of Ted Chiang's short story may not be the pace expected of many contemporary sci-fi, but there's enough here to keep your mind buzzing. Listen on for our full podcast review.

We also discuss Independence Day: Resurgence in this podcast, and you can listen to our review of that film here.
