Gods of Egypt - Podcast review out now

Controversial from the get go with accusations of whitewashing, Alex Proyas' Gods of Egypt has proved to be a hard film to love. With the film using the mythology of Ancient Egypt as its starting point, we see mechanoid gods fight each other in a battle for power as a wise cracking mortal tags along. Starring Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, Elodie Yung and Chadwick Boseman, Gods of Egypt is a deeply flawed film with not much on the surface going for it. We, however, take heed to Proyas' criticisms of critics, "trying to peck to the rhythm of the consensus", and try to see if its all just a big misunderstanding.
