DVD Roundup: Modern Prometheus edition

There was a lot of promise to this retelling of Mary Shelley's classic. You had a great cast, including James McAvoy, Daniel Radcliffe and Andrew Scott, but the trailer included way too much CGI, and the result was an unimaginative re-imagining. I may still watch Victor Frankenstein, as it can't be worse than I, Frankenstein, (right?) but I will go in with lower expectations. I can always fall back on James Whale's classic if I need to.

Do you like prank video's? I hate prank video's. They are usually unfunny and mean spirited, and very rarely take into account the person they are pulling the prank on. But of course, its just a prank. Natural Born Pranksters include 3 YouTubers, Dennis Roady, Roman Atwood and Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, as they go to Hollywood and make what they hope is a Jackass style movie. But if it goes wrong, don't worry, its just a prank! Unless, of course, you get arrested.

Most of us are used to hacks nowadays, with the hacks sometimes seeming senseless. Mr. Robot, which stars Rami Malek in the lead role, gives us a much more of a moral conundrum. Malek plays a cybersecurity engineer for a huge company, but as he starts believing that the huge multi-nationals are doing more harm than good, takes it upon himself to hack the companies. With some great reviews under its belt, this is series I can sense myself getting sucked into.
