Night of the Living Dead: Darkest Dawn

So one of my favourite horror films is getting remade again, this time with a twist: it's all in computer animation. I need to state that my favourite Night of the Living Dead is the 1990 remake of George A. Romero's classic by Tom Savini, showing that with the right director and actors you can make a respectful version of a classic. Before I get on to my issues with Darkest Dawn, I will let you know I've recently watched Night of the Living Dead 3D from 2006, which will be coming out soon as part of our Trick or Treat podcast's.
So Darkest Dawn (also known as Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D) and what it's got going for it, and that is the cast. Oh boy, let me list some names: Tony Todd is reprising his role as Ben, Tom Sizemore, Scream Queen Danielle Harris, Bill Moseley is again reprising his role as Johnny, and then some one called Madhavan, so yeah, they got the talent. Now onto the biggest issue - the animation looks like it's been pulled from an old PS2 game, looking similar to Resident Evil 2. Hopefully they can tidy the animation up because right now no matter the names, if the film looks like shit, not many people will wanna watch it.
Directors Zebediah De Soto and Krisztian Majdik have got their work cut out for them. They have a solid platform, as long as they don't alter the story to much. However, Tony Todd revealed that he had been working on the project for three years and they've gone through two other directors and multiple script issues, so however hopeful I am that this will be an interesting step for zombies film's, I can't find myself looking forward to this film.
