DVD Round-Up: I thought this was a Godzilla movie special

Everyone loves Godzilla. Even in the excellent original Japanese version, they have sympathy for the giant mutant. So when we watched the recent American version, it was with great vengeance and furious anger that you see the mighty beast for what feels like, and probably is, five minutes. And to rub salt in the wound, Bryan Cranston, of who's reputation most of this film was riding on, is in it for an achingly short amount of time. And so we're made to watch an emotionless Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Aside from that, the scene's that Godzilla is in the film are pretty cool. Check out our review of the film in the player below (or subscribe to us on itunes), where we also discuss the Japanese original and the awful 1998 version.
