Richee's Thoughts on Pokemon Sun/Moon Demo

So we got a quick taste of what's to come in November with the release of the latest Pokemon game Sun and Moon, plus a free Greninja when you download it. It's not a massive demo, you get a rather large town to explore with a few buildings to look around. You also get to take part in a trial, where you get to take some pictures of a new dragon type (I think) and it's evolved form. I'm not too wild about taking pictures in the game, as it seems like a pointless exercise, and hopefully it be can ignored.

We also get to see the replacements for HMs in the way you can get rideable Pokemon. You get to test out the rock smashing Tauros. I was kinda hoping you could teach a team member these moves and make them rideable, to give you a whole selection of opportunities. But it's still a cool system and saves us Pokemon trainer jerks from having a HM slave.

The battle system has been simplified that much more, which wasn't needed. Now, after you've battled a Pokemon, you can see how effective all your moves will be against it. Catching hasn't changed though. Your given sixteen balls and sent into a field to catch as many Pokemon as you can, you can't take them out of the area, so battling with them is out of the question, as you can't heal them and they will be defeated in one attack in their weakened state.
All in all, it was a fun little teaser, but it hasn't got me any more hyped about the game. The villains, Team Skull, look lame with their hip-hop posing, but they do get a cool battle picture. But yeah, it's free to download so it's worth a look if you have the time. The one Pokemon I'm looking forward to the most is the new Alola forms of Grimer and Muk. I want me a tie dye 'mon. Richee
