ANIMATION DOUBLE BILL: SAUSAGE PARTY AND ZOOTROPOLIS - podcast review out now

This week we present an Animation Double Bill, featuring Seth Rogan's passion project Sausage Party and Disney's latest success Zootropolis (or Zootopia in the US). Sausage Party, directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, is a rude and brash meditation on religion and atheism, where food must realise that the gods they praise to inhumanly murder them for their own strength. Cue lots of sex and drug jokes! Second up is Zootropolis, directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore and Jared Bush, and offers us a much more subtle examination of a society run by anthropomorphic animals which suffers from prejudice and a drugs epidemic. And this is a Disney film? Listen on for our reviews of these tonally different but deep thinking cartoons.

We mention the notorious disaster Foodfight! and JonTron's video of it in our Sausage Party review, and you can watch right here.
