Independence Day: Resurgence - podcast review out now

The aliens are back for a sequel no one asked for. Set 20 years after the original, where humans have taken advantage of the extra terrestrial technology, and the world has finally found peace within its nations, Independence Day: Resurgence once again finds the Nevada desert the battleground for a queen alien and her minions when they sneak up on us with their 3000 mile wide space craft. While setting up an interesting world in the first half, Resurgence resorts to the same beats of the original film, but with none of the charisma, resulting in a lacklustre blockbuster. And how bad is it when your favourite character is a warlord? Starring Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Bill Pullman, Maika Monroe, Brent Spiner, and DeObia Oparei, listen to full podcast review of Roland Emmerich's sequel to one of the biggest films of the 90s.
