DVD Round-Up: Mutant edition

Retro inspired fan poster by Bryan Caselli

The major release this week is that of X-Men Days of Future Past. The story focuses yet again on Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman in an incredible seven different films), as he is sent back in time to the groovy '70s to stop Trask (Peter Dinklage) from building the Sentinals, which are in the future systimatically killing all of the super-powered mutants. What's interesting is that this film single handedly wipes out all of the previous X-Men films, many of which has been lauded as being shit. Considering that, a Cerebro Collection of all seven of the films (and a plastic model of Professor X's psychic helmet) has just been released for just shy of £100, so you can sit at home cuddling the Cerebro and cry, as you realise you've spent hours watching films that have no meaning any more. Enjoy!

Also out this week, The Lego Movie has been released with a little minifigure of the Morgan Freeman voiced sage Vitruvius. Sure, it's no Milhouse, but if you have kids or are a building blocks geek, then this boxset maybe worth it. Helps that the movie is pretty great too. You can read our review of it here.
