Godzilla special review

Everyone's favourite movie monster is back in this big budget American version, directed by Gareth Evans. With a cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe and Bryan Cranston, this film promises alot but delivers a mixed bag of results. While the fight between Godzilla and the Muto's are awesome, there is far too much made of the rather bland and unpassionate quest-to-be-united storyline between Taylor-Johnson and his wife (Elizabeth Olsen), as well as the enormous amount of time spent watching the bumbling American army mess up.

Listen to the rest of our review in the player below (and don't forget you can subscribe to us on iTunes too). Also, because we love Godzilla, this episode is a special one where we look back at the good and bad of Nippon's favourite kaiju, including a review of the original 1954 Japanese film and the much lamented 1998 American version. Enjoy, and let us know which Godzilla film you love the most in the comments.

P.S. Richee is going to be giving us a review of Gareth Evans first film Monsters soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
