Another great actor passes on - R.I.P Bob Hoskins

So I finish work to get home and find out Bob Hoskins has passed away from pneumonia, having retired from acting in 2012 after filming Snow White and the Huntsman. Such a shame, especially following the passing of Harold Ramis and Phillip Seymour Hoffman earlier this year as well. Hoskins was a great character actor and could play any type of role, from his performance as the bungling Smee in Hook to the brilliant detective Eddie Valentine from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, one of my favourite films as a kid and still today - recently I watched it on Netflix with the Layla. I always enjoyed his more villainous characters most of all, with his gruff British accent, his character Bart from Unleashed is a mobster who has tamed Jet Li to be his personal body guard is brilliant, where as Jet Li is brilliant with the fighting. Bob Hoskin steals the show with every scene he is in. So our condolences go out to his family and friends in this tough time, but he leaves behind many brilliant films everyone can look back on with fond memories. Richee
