A new day a new reason to moan

So this year we have the return of M. Night Shyamalan directing the father son duo of Will and Jaden Smith for the movie After Earth. So with all these returns only one interests me and that is the return of the Smiths, following The Pursuit of Happyness with the chemistry and acting talent they showed in that film. I can't help but think this will be a superbly acted film. The directing side of things, where do I get started; I never liked Sixth Sense and found the twist slightly expectable. Then after watching Signs and The Village which were just terrible I decided to never watch another Shyamalan film again, and I didn't. Lady In The Water, The Happening and The Last Air Bender passed by without one bit of interest, then after the reviews they got I didn't feel like I had lost out on much. But now with the Smiths I might have to actually go watch another Shylamalan film. This will be the his last chance though. So about the film; it follows Cypher Raige and his son Kitai, obviously played by the Smiths. The Earth has been abandoned and humanity has colonised another planet, somehow the Raiges manage to crash land back on Earth, which leads to Kitai having to brave the enviroment and its hostile occupants to activate the rescue beacon. So sounds interesting enough I just hope it survives any stupid twists that might be in there, if there is any that is. Luckily the screenplay is mostly done by Stephen Gaghan who wrote the screen play for Syriana. So fingers crossed for this one think it may need it. Richee
